Staying consistent with creative projects can be tough. Some days inspiration disappears. Time feels limited. And motivation can vanish when you need it most.
But here's the thing I've discovered - progress doesn't have to be huge. It just needs to exist. That's why I live by one simple rule: Never have a 0% day.
What's a 0% day?
It's when you do absolutely nothing toward your dream. We've all been there, thinking: "I don't have time to paint today, so why bother?" But what if instead of doing nothing, you just sketched a quick idea in your notebook? Or watched a 5-minute tutorial? Maybe just mixed some colors or jotted down concepts for your next piece?
These tiny actions might seem like nothing, but they keep the fire burning.
Never have 0% day if you have your dream project and wanted to finish.
I remember when building one of my side projects. Some time after doing all my daily work, it felt like climbing a mountain. But I decided to just start finishing smaller chunks of the project daily - either coding a small portion of the logic or even designing a small element in Figma. After months of work, it was finished (Talking about 3dicons). And I successfully released it! And this is not a story of one of my single project litteraly every project I did either small or big I follow same rule.
Success isn't about making giant leaps. It's about showing up, even in the smallest ways. So whatever project has your heart racing with excitement (and maybe a little fear), make today count.
Even 1% progress beats 0%. Keep going. Your art, your passion, your dreams - they're worth it. 🎨✨
