#### art: realvjy After almost 6 months of working part time on my artist and cat game, it is finally looking good. I also finally have a name for it. **Last Revision** I spent a lot of time refining the art style. Maybe too much time. As a designer, I keep noticing small things and then I want to fix them. Then I fix one thing and another thing starts bothering me. At some point I realised I was just stuck in that loop. This project was supposed to be a small project. Not a big game. Not something that takes forever. I started it mostly to learn game development, understand the process, and make something small that feels personal. But I kept improving it. I kept changing the art. I kept adjusting the mood. I kept trying to make it better. And honestly, I think that is where I need to stop now. The game is not perfect, but it feels close to what I wanted. And for a small first game, that is enough. ## Release plan As planned, I will release Last Revision on itch.io for free. I think itch.io is the right place for this game right now. It keeps things simple. I can release it, share it, and not overthink the whole process too much. Maybe later I can try bringing it to Steam, but I do not want to make that the focus right now. Right now the focus is just to finish the game and release it. ## What this project taught me This project taught me a lot. Not only about game development, but also about finishing things. I do create so many plugins and small poject but at this scale it was totally different. I learned that you can keep improving something forever, especially when you care about it. But that does not always mean the project is moving forward. Sometimes you are just scared to call it done. I think I was doing that for a while. Because once I release it, I cannot hide behind “I am still working on it” anymore. It will be out there. People can play it. Some people may like it, some may not. That is fine. But I think this is the stage I wanted to reach when I started this project. So now I want to finish the remaining work, polish only what is really needed, and move to release. ## Next project I have already started writing notes for my next bigger game idea. It is an idea I had from the time I started learning game dev, especially when I started learning Unreal Engine. That one is much bigger. A commercial title. More like a 3D open world adventure game. But before jumping fully into that, I want to properly finish Last Revision. I still need to spend some time on music, the theme, and the final stage of the game. After that, I think I can close this project and move ahead with more confidence. For now, the plan is simple. **Finish the game.
